A bespoke build by Sam Heard’s yard based in Mylor Creek at the north end of Carrick Roads, Falmouth. Mystic of Black Tar has spent her time to date navigating the 24 miles of estuary of the Milford Haven waterways. From Blackpool Mill, to Cresswell Quay, Little Milford, to Dale at the mouth of the river Cleddau. Her distinctive rich turquoise marine hull compliments her classic design with iroko gunnels and silver weathered teak decks. She is a stable estuary cruiser, simple and safe with a West Country working pedigree. Will she stay on the Pembrokeshire waterways, or will she return to the equally beautiful Cornish coast?

We live on the Cleddau Estuary, Pembrokeshire.

We wanted a boat that would allow us to explore the intricacies of the waterway both safely and with style.

We chose the PICAROONER ESTUARY LAUNCH and had it custom made by the renowned boat builder Sam Heard in his Mylor Creek boatyard.

It has lived up to our expectations in every way:

  • Safe, sturdy and very stylish
  • Plenty of room to picnic with family and friends as well as do some fishing
  • Its tiller steering gives it a traditional feel with a 6Hp outboard engine to push you along
  • It’s the perfect boat to explore the hidden secrets of any estuary
