At Pembrokeshire Yacht Sales all our Delivery Skippers are RYA Yachtmaster Instructors who are commercially endorsed. Our Crews are all experienced sailors. We hold full insurance for UK & European Yacht Deliveries.
Pre Delivery Boat Assessmen
Your Pembrokeshire Yacht Sales Delivery Team will arrive 1 day prior to departure date.
This enables a thorough assessment of the rigging, engine, electrical systems and safety equipment.
Your vessel will require:
Life Raft – Serviced and in date
Grab Bag – Fully equipped
Flares Pack – In in date
These are essential safety items for any cruising vessel. If you do not have any of these items on board we can discuss a Safety Package for your vessel and get it delivered prior to departure. We work with Ocean Safety to ensure the best quality equipment and sensible prices.
The Delivery
Your Pembrokeshire Yacht Sales Delivery Skipper will discuss the passage plan with you. The aim is to deliver your vessel from A to B in the safest and most time efficient route + timescale.
Once underway the Pembrokeshire Yacht Sales delivery team sail 24/7 on a watch system. You will receive updates from the Office during the voyage.
All deliveries are weather dependant and may be brought forward or pushed back if adverse weather is forecast.
Based on their years of experience and Yachtmaster Instructor qualifications our Pembrokeshire Yacht Sales Delivery Skippers make all final decisions.
Can I Join?
In most cases the answer to this is no. Excited new boat owners can get a little romantic about the voyage. Hoping it would be an ideal opportunity to shake down the vessel and gain some sailing experience with a professional and experienced skipper and crew. In reality Yacht Deliveries are arduous , demanding and not for the faint hearted.
