Description

The Summer Twins 25 is a British designed cruising catamaran by Pat Patterson. She is small enough to be easily handled, like a dinghy, yet large enough to be as comfortable as a 35 foot yacht, both at sea and in port. This is a go-anywhere cruising boat from deep water to the shallowest tidal creek. Not only does she sail upright, giving greater comfort when cooking, navigating or sleeping on passage, she can also take the ground when the tide goes out, allowing you to navigate shallow waters. The auxiliary power is an economical Honda 9.9 outboard motor with electric start and remote controls in the cockpit. She is very maneuverable under either sail or power. This catamaran offers great light airy accommodation. A Cat with a lot of soul.

Hull and Construction

  • Material & Core
    • Built using durable isophthalic resin-infused fiberglass with PVC foam cores to maintain a strong, lightweight structure.
  • Wave Deflection
    • Features a distinct flare along the upper sides of the hulls designed to push outward and turn breaking waves away.
  • Bridgedeck Clearance
    • Designed with high clearance underneath the bridgedeck and no central nacelle, reducing wave slap and improving performance in choppy seas.
  • Buoyancy & Safety
    • Includes built-in collision bulkheads situated forward in the hulls alongside integrated buoyancy zones in the stern areas for maximum reserve buoyancy

Deck Layout

  • Upright Sailing Design
    • The deck and superstructure remain remarkably stable and flat while underway, reducing fatigue and making movement on deck safer.
  • Handling & Rigging
    • Built to be simple and responsive, performing well with a fully battened main and roller-reefing setup that tacks easily.
  • Cockpit and Access
    • Designed with short-handed sailing in mind, allowing the crew easy maneuverability from the cockpit to the side decks.
  • Anchor Locker
    • Features a clean, molded design up front that doubles as a paddling pool for anchoring days.
